Hi! We’re Agustín González and Holly Worton, and we’re the directors of North Downs Publishing.
We’re both writers ourselves, and we understand how challenging it can be to navigate the world of independent publishing and book marketing.
Unlike many self-publishing service providers, who publish your book under their publishing house, we aim to help YOU become an independent publisher. We won’t be publishing your books under our publishing house—we’ll help you create your own. That way, you have full control over your books, now and always.
About Us
Holly: author, podcaster, and publishing strategist
She writes nonfiction books about her adventures to inspire people to get outdoors and reconnect with Nature as a way to reconnect with themselves. Holly believes that nature connection is about much more than sit spots and meditating in Nature—it’s also about getting outdoors to do the things you love. Her work is about personal growth through Nature, and how going literally into the woods and spending time in Nature can help us on our own journey of personal development.
Holly enjoys spending time outdoors, walking and running long-distance trails, and exploring Britain’s sacred sites. Spending time in Nature is something that she finds to be deeply nourishing—it brings her a sense of expansive joy.
She’s originally from California and now lives in England, but has also lived in Spain, Costa Rica, Mexico, Chile, and Argentina.
Agustín: author, translator, and interpreter
Agustín’s background is quite varied since he’s had two lives for the price of one: the past one was filled with music-making, both at the keyboard and through his singing (opera). Yet, alas, fate had other plans for him, which meant that his expressiveness had to be channeled through the written word, both as an author (he’s written 8 books and short reads), and as a translator (more than 3,000,000 words spread across 55 books and subtitles for video and TV).
His rich and complex life makes him a very skilled translator and editor… approaching the challenges with a unique mindset and dedication.
He also runs ridiculous distances in the mountains and hills, including ultramarathon adventures in the South Downs (100 miles) and the Swiss Alps (UTMR, 100 km).
He’s originally from Argentina and has also lived in Spain and England, where he now resides.
